Tomorrow Is Going To Be Chilly! (DELAYED START TIME)

Happy New Year to everyone and welcome to what looks to be a wonderful 2012! I cannot tell you how excited I am about all the rides we have scheduled as well as those with the West Florida Wheelmen and the Senior Olympics racing calendar...this is going to be a great year!!!

And it all starts tomorrow morning!

However, the very first ride of the new year, (tomorrow) looks to be a bit chilly at the 8am start time. The forecast is for 44 degrees with a wind out of the Northwest at 14mph. Brrrr...therefore, we have decided after much consternation and discussion amongst the regulars, to delay the start time one hour to 9am for our brand new Starbucks Loop. (Guess where the rest stop is?!) This new loop, brought to you at great expense, will only be used on the coldest of winter rides...for obvious reasons. I mean, who wants to stop for a hot latte on a 90 degree summer morning ride?

So, sleep in an extra hour in the morning and enjoy some hot pancakes then bundle up warm for a great little loop with a group of the most unusual characters you have ever met on two wheels. No kidding...with names like Crusher, Big Hoagie, Happy and Bad Mayonnaise you know it's got to be fun. Not to mention Left Lane. I mean remember, we are riding bikes and his moniker is Left Lane. Whaaat? Makes you wonder, don't it?! Well, come on out and see for yourself. Besides, who doesn't like a hot Starbucks on a cold ride? Oh yeah baby!

Remember, tomorrow morning at 9am at Firestone and Summit for the brand new Starbucks Loop. The pace will be easy to moderate for this 35 to 40 miler. We'll have you home in time for the Rose Bowl Parade and before Ohio State...well, you get the idea. Hey, which side of the field does Urban sit on anyway?

See you in the morning and I'll...

See you out on the road,
Bob
