TERAD Tonight!

Saturday's ride was fantastic! We had a large group of riders as we headed out for the Twisted Hammock! (It is easier to get into the Hammock than it is to get out...especially if it's Twisted!) The weather was perfect and the group was feeling frisky. As we turned onto Mobile Hwy and approached the appetizer hills before the main course which is the Hammock itself, the pace really picked up. Up until this point, only Tattoo Brett and Fishbone were the instigators. However, Mobile Hwy tends to bring out the little boy in most...Saturday was no different.

About a half mile before the turn for the Hammock Left Lane punctures. The Bad Mayonnaise and Vortex waited with him as he showed us his highly skilled technique of changing a tube. (The fans were going wild.) Meanwhile, the sprint was heating up in the Hammock with Jason out doing Tattoo Brett who was a bit gassed after being out front for an hour. On the way back out, Happy put a hurtin' on the boys keeping the pace in the mid 20s mph. Beastly! Somebody weight the dude's saddle with a few pounds to handicap him! He's putting in way too many miles and looking more like Andy Schleck than a, uh...60 something rider. Coolio will have his hand's full at the Classic this September! (Although, he does have new shoes!)

The rest of the ride Saturday was uneventful with the exception of a little shoulder bumping and route finding. Both incidents involved Circle K and Fishbone. Regardless, none the worse for wear...just added a few extra miles to the route. Great ride with a great group of riders!

Tonight we have yet another great ride, our weekly TERAD! It starts tonight at 5:30pm at Maygarden and Summit. If you can't make that one, try tomorrow evening's WFW Hammerfest at 5pm leaving from WSRE Parking lot. Better yet, ride both!

And this weekend has two fantastic rides scheduled: Saturday is the first ever Cinco de Bad Mayo! Come join our own Bad Mayonnaise and the COUCs for a route especially selected by the Bad Mayo himself! Should be great fun!!! And as if the fun will never stop, come on out to the beach that same evening for our monthly Full Moon Ride! All the ride details are on the Rides Calendar at the bottom of the Blogazoidal!

See you at TERAD and...

See you out on the road,
Bob

  1. Skeleton Man did a lot of pulling getting out of the Hammock. We fully expected to be pulled back in by the galloping peleton.
