Well, sort of...
In fact, we just got back late Sunday from the most amazing 300 plus miles I've ever ridden! I'm referring to the Roger's Ride event of course. There were 22 riders along with a host of family and support members. It was one of those rare mixes that turned out to be perfect for those 4 long days in the saddle. What a fantastic group of folks! I'll write more about the ride later after it has soaked in for a few days. Right now, I'm still basking in the afterglow...
For now, we have a few more rides scheduled before the time changes in November. Boo! (for the time change, not the rides) None more fun than the Full Moon Ride which is tomorrow night at the beach. It is our last Full Moon ride of the 2011 season, so come on out and enjoy this best kept secret of the Florida cycling community. We start tomorrow evening at 6pm at Casino Beach. We cruise to Fort Pickens while the sun is setting. We usually take a short break for any stragglers to regroup and then head back to Casino Beach under the full moon over the Gulf. Absolutely gorgeous!
Also, don't forget this Saturday we're doing the awesome Around The Sound Loop! This 60 miler is one of our group's favorite routes. If you're not up for 60 miles, then do the shorter version, which is about 35 miles. Either way it is sure to be good fun. Come on somebody!
So remember, tomorrow night there is no WERAD! We will be at the beach for the last Full Moon Ride of the season. See you at 6pm at Casino Beach!!!
Until then, I'll...
See you out on the road,
Bob
