The Twisted Hammock to be more precise! Tomorrow's weather looks fantastic for a ride in the Twisted Hammock. Leaving from the Maygarden and Summit runway at 7am the peloton will enjoy nice weather according to the latest forecasts...with one exception, there appears to be an east wind (headwind) for the trip back. However, not too stiff a breeze though. All in all, looks to be an enjoyable ride!
Again, as in the past, we will have two rest stops for this 55 miler and there will be two groups forming after the first stop then reforming at the second stop. Total miles for short group is just under 50. The pace will be moderate until the hammerfest down into the Hammock itself at which point all bets are off as the group tends to go as fast as they possibly can towards the first and only prize of the day, the coveted "Twisted Hammock Sprint!" The ride back is, well...harder to get out of the hammock than to get into the hammock...especially if it's twisted! Great ride and really great fun!
It all starts tomorrow morning at 7am! See you there and as always...
See you out on the road,
Bob
